- Bob Johnson, FHM Magazine - Online
"The Biscuit Boys just opened for Blue Highway and stormed their way through a long set that sent the audience to its feet! A young band, these boys are already hot - and about to get huge!" - John Jeter, The Handlebar
"...exuberant quintet who now call Nashville home?just released a self-titled debut CD that exhibits not only their reverence for bluegrass traditions, but their embrace of folk, blues, and country, as well." - Martin Brady, Nashville Scene
"With one foot in tradition, and the other exploring the boundaries of pickin' music, they create an exciting new sound." - David Ball, country star & former member of Uncle Walt's Band
Born in Charleston, SC in 1998 and now residing in Nashville, these five musicians stand with one foot in tradition and the other in sheer energy, attacking each performance with the ferocity of a rock band.
The Biscuit Boys have developed a unique sound and a dedicated following. The members are Drew Breakey: upright bass; Bryan Landers: banjo & vocals;
Charlie McCarter: guitar & vocals; Steven Sandifer: percussion & vocals;
and Scott Simontacchi: mandolin & vocals.
They have shared the stage with luminaries such as Travis Tritt, Ricky Skaggs, Dr. Ralph Stanley, Sam Bush, Tony Rice, The Del McCoury Band, Bill Keith, Tim O?Brien, and Robert Earl Keen, as well as performing at festivals and venues such as the Grand Ole Opry, Harvest Fest, Winterhawk Festival, House of Blues, and The Station Inn.
