Spot on! iOS isn’t even in the same league as Win RT, especially for users who use their devices for more than just playing Angry Birds and watching Netflix.

Yeah because the $600 iPad comes with a keyboard right?… not. Also Windows 8 hasn’t even been announced yet and your criticizing prices, wait until all the products are actually out before you start complaining. Who knows maybe there will be a $500 Win RT tablet within the next month or two.

Thats bullshit, the key difference between RT and iOS is that RT has a file explorer. On an iPad if I want to open an attachment from an email or download a file from the web then I have to have an app specifically to do that and after i’ve closed that app theres no way to get to that file again without going back to my email or re-downloading that file. On RT however I can download absolutely any file and save it to any location I’d like, regardless of the apps I have available to open it. This is amazing for anyone even slightly interested in actually accomplishing something relating to work as you can catalog and organize your files for later use and save and edit different renditions just as you would on your PC.

Why would AT&T allow Nokia to sell a variant of their flagship phone on other carriers when the’ve likely paid a lot of money in order to keep it exclusive on their network, AT&T can’t really tout all the features of the 920 as exclusive if someone can just walk over to Verizon and get pretty much the exact same phone?

But with recent software features like cloud file sharing, chrome’s tab sinking and the fact that your google account will sink all your contacts, calendars, and settings across all your devices isn’t that sort of a moot point? In regards to the battery thing I could see where that might be somewhat useful, but with batteries getting larger and larger (2000mah+) making it a full day isn’t really a problem anymore and I can’t imagine many scenarios where you would be unable to charge you phone at night (even some tablets can charge a phone over USB).

Theres no doubt that the 920 has the 8X beat in the tech department, its mostly the design aspects that people seem to disagree on and I’m sure we can all agree that design is 100% subjective. So at the end of the day it all comes down to the person, if you dont feel like you’ll benefit from the wireless charging or better camera and you prefer the design of the 8X then its odviously the better phone for you but threads like these are pointless as each person’s tastes and needs are completely different and as a result theres no such thing as a best or better phone. In other words “to each their own”.

The problem with this device is that its pretty much a phone that comes with a tablet that only works with a phone, which sort of defeats the purpose of both. How is this any better than just buying a tablet and a phone, either way you still have to carry around 2 devices at least that way they both work on their own. That being said I really like the design of the phone itself it looks like it could be built really well, and if the camera is as good as it appears to be then I might even consider buying this just for the phone.

Never thought I’d say this but that actually looks kind of good, in fact I’d actually consider buying one of these if it came to Verizon…

I dont think that they are scared necessarily, I think its more that they simply want to maintain an amicable relationship with their OEM’s which intern allows business to run more smoothly. If they started undermining them and releasing a bunch of their own hardware it probably wouldn’t change much in the sceme of things but it would certainly make business a lot less enjoyable for everyone involved which I’m sure we can all agree is never a good thing regardless of the effects.

Something to do with the Kernal, I think Microsoft made it so that it only works on certain hardware, thats why we’re seeing so many phones with the same processors and such.
