Jessica Simpson gets back into Daisy Dukes to parade her post-baby body

She's been working hard to lose her baby weight and it seems Jessica Simpson is now confident enough to wear her favourite wardrobe item - Daisy Dukes.

The 32-year-old, who famously wore the denim cut-offs in 2005's the Dukes of Hazard, was spotted strutting through Shutters on the Beach restaurant in Santa Monica on Thursday.

She teamed the tiny shorts with a loose black top and chunky platform heels.

She was at the venue to celebrate her fiance Eric Johnson's 33rd birthday, and the pair put on an affectionate show over lunch.

Jessica, who gave birth to her daughter Maxwell in May, recently said she was just 10lbs away from her pre-baby weight.

'All the weight did not come out with the baby,' she told Katie Couric earlier this month.

'I had to stay focused on my diet. I want to be as healthy as I can because I'm a mom now.'

She's been following Weight Watchers after signing a deal rumoured to be worth $4m and has also been working out with a personal trainer.
