She could get used to this! Alec Baldwin is the perfect gentleman as he ushers wife Hilaria Thomas into waiting limousine after Emmy Awards

He may have gone home empty handed after his TV show 30 Rock failed to scoop up any gongs at Sunday’s Emmy Awards.

But Alec Baldwin didn’t let that affect his mood as he took new wife Hilaria Thomas out for an after-awards dinner.

The 54-year-old – who was nominated for lead actor in a comedy series for his role as Jack Donaghy in the sitcom – treated his spouse like a star in her own right.

Instead of allowing their hired driver to do the honours, he was quick to open their limousine door for her while she focussed on climbing into the car without compromising her elegant look.

The couple were spotted leaving dinner at Matsuhisa Japanese Restaurant in Beverly Hills, California, there outfits perfectly co-ordinating.

Baldwin wore a black suit with a white shirt and purple tie, while Thomas almost matched the hue with her floor-length sweetheart cut gown.

She seems to be getting the star style down to a tee and teamed her ensemble with a gold Chanel clutch bag that matched her pee toe heels.

Post- red carpet, she covered her shoulders with a black pashmina following their meal.

Despite bringing home no trophies, Alec has plenty to be proud of and plans on doing some work on Broadway now his show is ending.

But he has also revealed his yoga instructor partner has reason to be congratulated as she is about to become a star in her own right.

He joked to the LA Times: ‘With the show ending, this is a bittersweet day for me. But my wife is about to be in a yet-to-be-announced fitness/health show, and she's going to make a million dollars and be the next Jane Fonda.’
