That's one way to sell a perfume! Nicki Minaj steps out in VERY low cut bra and a pink police officer hat for the launch of Pink Friday scent

She is well known for her love of audacious and eye catching outfits, so it was no surprise that Nicki Minaj chose a particularly eccentric ensemble to plug her new perfume on Monday.

The 29-year-old stepped out at Macy's in New York to launch her Pink Friday scent sporting a pink police officer hat and revealing multicoloured low cut bra which showed off her ample curves to the maximum.

Blue and white leggings, blue platform shoes and a pink jacket completed the look, as the beaming star posed with the distinctive bottle.

The Pink Friday scent is described as a 'blend of sweet florals, vanilla and musk' and it's packaged in a likeness of the singer, complete with a pink wig.

'I've been thinking about [a fragrance] for like, the last two years actually; I knew I was going to call it Pink Friday,' the singer told MTV News.

'I didn't know I would have a pink wig on the bottle until I met with the fragrance company and they asked me what I wanted my bottle to look like and I said - is there any way we can put a pink wig on it?

'They said, "You know what? Let's try," she explained. 'And they came back with sketches and I was floored that they actually nailed it, I couldn't stop looking at the sketches.'

The bottle also comes complete with a gold name 'Nicki Minaj name necklace, which thrilled the singer.

'When I saw the actual picture and it began coming to life, I was like "wow," she said. 'My fans are going to spaz out when they see this.'

Minaj earlier appeared on talk show The View where she talked about her disbelief at her current success.

'As a little girl growing up in south side Jamaica, Queens, if anyone would have told me that I would have my own perfume one day and be able to inspire young black girls everywhere to go into Nordstrom’s or Macy’s to see their face staring back at them, I would have never believed it,' she said.

Minaj then went on to talk about her experience filming Idol alongside judges Mariah Carey, Keith Urban and Randy Jackson.

'I look up to all of them in my own way,' she said, adding: 'Of course, I worked with Mariah very early on in my career, so I’m really grateful that she gave me that look very early on. And she’s really, really funny.'
