'That's B*******!': Whoopi Goldberg loses her cool with Ann Coulter during race row on The View as she claims 'liberals never cared about black people'

This is the moment Ann Coulter wound Whoopi Goldberg up to breaking point as she appeared on The View on Thursday to promote her controversial new book.

Coulter took less than 30 seconds to get under the host's skin, confidently claiming: 'I write these books because I try to correct things people believe that are just false.'

Armed with copies of Mugged, she argued that America's 'legacy of slavery' has lead to civil rights only 'belonging to blacks', much to Goldberg's disgust.

As tension mounted around the table, Goldberg demanded of Coulter: 'Tell me what you know about being black.'

Appearing exasperated to the point of near-speechlessness, Goldberg told her: 'Your facts are a little shaky. I mean, you're saying that because liberals have abandoned black people now—what? I don't get it. I don't understand.'

'I don't think liberals ever cared about black people,' Coulter said, defending herself and trying to make a case for sympathetic republicans.

'Five minutes after the Civil Rights Act of 1964, they start calling everything that has nothing to do with black people a civil rights issue: abortion on demand, homeless rights.'

But Goldberg had had enough, exploding with rage she shouted: 'B*******! B*******, I'm sorry! That's bull, that's bull.'

Each of the four other women sat around The View's table picked their own faults with Coulter's claims.

'You're saying liberals don't care about black people,' Sherri Shepard complained.

'Then are you saying that Republicans embrace us in a warm fuzzy.'

To which Coulter staunchly replied: 'I do, we are not embraced back.'

The women continued to bicker as Coulter adamantly stated that the 'Southern Strategy is a lie' and even claimed that the OJ Simpson verdict was 'the best thing that ever happened to black Americans.'

'Millions of white people watching with the equivalent of in New York, we use the Brooklyn juries who simply would not convict, even guilty black criminals,' she said, interrupted by Goldberg who cut in:
'You know what, hold up Ms. Coulter.

'Please stop, please stop! If you're going to talk about race, at least, know what you're talking about.

'At least know what you're talking about.'

Eventually co-host Barbara Walters called time on the heated debate, turning to Coulter and thanking her for coming on the show.

'No matter what, you sit down here and you got 5 women going bah badda badda, whatever it is, thank you for coming on!'

Every time Ann Coulter opens her mouth she proves she a biggoted idiot and this appearance was no different. If she really thinks she makes the republican party more sympathetic with her twisting of facts and outright falsehoods she is as delusional as she seems!

I have met both Ann and Whoppi, and for all of you saying Whoppi is a nasty peice of work and Ann is bright as a button.... couldn't agree less with both statements!

Whoopi reminds me of my senile MIL, who, when she cannot make a rational point simply exclaims 'that's b*******!". This type of crude behavior and her open flatulence and her description of a "PTA" bath after she has a one night stand as well as the rest of her vulgar behavior is the reason I stopped watching The View.

She's not afraid to present the unpopular truth, head-on. - LaraC, Atlanta, 28/9/2012 1:03 Totally agree LaraC, if only we were allowed someone like her on our TV...trouble is, it's dominated by the loony Left...so we only get one view, especially with the BBC. I like her because she never falters with her view of a subject, no matter how many interruptions or how much abuse she gets. Whoopi once asked the 'Loose Women' why they didn't have more political issues on their show - no thanks it would end up a caterwauling mess like the View. I've tried to like that programme but just can't and that's probably because it's too Left Wing for me - my days need to be hearted and i find the Left very heavy going,

as a white british citizen I am overwhelmed with how racist America actually still is! why is colour such an issue to you? why is it that you still treat people with different coloured skin so bloody disgracefully? being white is nothing to be proud of, it never has been and to be honest America's attitudes and treatment of Americans who are not Caucasian is embarrassing!
