No tears this time! LeAnn Rimes beams with joy as she sings at charity show following rehab stint

She broke down and started crying on stage earlier this month during her first performance since entering rehab.

But LeAnn Rimes was all smiles as she continued her comeback by performing at a high profile charity show in Napa, California on Thursday.

The country singer looked at ease as she played a set for the VH1 Save The Music Foundation's Songwriters Music Series.

The 30-year-old looked far more comfortable as she ran through some of her well worn favourites than when she made her first public appearance on September 7.

LeAnn looked well on the road to recovery since checking herself into an in-patient treatment program for personal and emotional issues late last month.

She had dressed well for the occasion: Stella McCartney shirt, rag & bone jeans, and Michael Kors shoes.

And it seems LeAnn is revelling in the challenge of performing again, as she tweeted: 'I’m excited to be performing at the Songwriters event presented by @raymondweil! Donate to @vh1savethemusic.'

Her happy demeanour throughout was a far cry from the emotion she showed at the Wisconsin show earlier this month.

Talking about what she described as ‘the elephant in the room’ she told the audience: ‘I'm totally cool and so happy; I think I'm about to cry.

'Thanks for being awesome fans – patient and understanding.’

Her emotions were clear, as she wiped tears with her fingers in between songs.

But she still managed to belt out 14 songs in 70 minutes at the Eau Claire Regional Arts Center show.

I pray every day that LeAnn is doing well and that she is able to shake the dust from her feet when dealing with those who do nothing but put down her EVERY move. (bowing my head) God bless you and her always!!! Holly in East Tennessee (a day one fan of LeAnn)

She used to command a good fee for her performances and it cost a good bit to see her in her prime. Now she just does charity shows as she cancels half her other performances, especially if that parasite hubby is not going to be there. I am surprised she has not got a private tec following him everywhere. Perhaps she has as she can afford it. Unhappy screams out at you.

Prozac will do that to you.
