THE WEST Coast Eagles have sprung a surprise in their first list lodgement, delisting young midfielder Tim Houlihan.
The 21-year-old didn't play a game in 2010, after notching 15 in his previous two seasons at the club after his selection at pick 43 in the 2006 NAB AFL Draft.
Matt Spangher, who asked to be traded in the exchange period earlier this month, has also gone.
The 23-year-old, a tall defender, played eight games in 2010 including the last four, to finish on 26 games for the Eagles, after being taken with pick 34 in the 2005 draft.
The club has elevated Lewis Stevenson, Andrew Strijk and Callum Wilson - all of whom played senior football this year - to its senior list.
Also gone from the main list are Tony Notte, taken at pick 20 in the 2007 draft as a tall, but exceedingly thin, key forward who played two matches, and Beau Wilkes, who played 23 games for the club after being taken with pick 59 in the 2007 rookie draft.
Adam Cockie and Will Sullivan have been chopped from the rookie list, finishing the delistings for this list lodgement, although there is another on November 10, when more players could be shown the door.
Lewis Broome, Ashton Hams and former Tiger Jarrad Oakley-Nicholls have been retained on the rookie list, while Jacob Brennan, son of premiership defender Michael Brennan, has been selected under the father/son rule.
Skipper Darren Glass and ruckman Dean Cox move onto the veterans list.
