Prince Jackson steps into his father's shoes as he takes little brother Blanket, 10, to karate

Blanket was just seven years old when Michael Jackson's tragic death left him an orphan.

But it seems the youngster has found a father figure in his doting big brother Prince, who was seen taking him to a martial arts class yesterday.

The responsible 15-year-old accompanied his 10-year-old brother to the karate lesson in the Encino area of California, sticking by the long-haired youngster throughout the journey.

Accompanied by their guardian, the nephew of their late father Michael Jackson – TJ Jackson, the boys bonded without the presence of their sister Paris, 14.

While Prince simply wore a festive headband with three-quarter length shorts and a tank top, Blanket donned the white robe uniform over his yellow T-shirt.

Following the activity, the group, which included TJ’s children, headed over to a mall to do some shopping and watch a movie.

The trip comes a week after her was spotted giving his little brother a ride to the cinema in his car.

Arriving in the affluent Beverly Hills area, the children clearly enjoyed checking out the various retail items at the kiosks in the shopping centre, and TJ watched on with a smile.

Although they visibly had other adults around to keep a watchful eye on them, Prince couldn’t help but dote on the younger members of his family, even giving his second cousin a ride on his shoulders at one point.

Just like his recent trip out, he hopped into the driver’s seat to get the group from point A to B.

In the US children can obtain a learner's permit six months before their sixteenth birthday, and Prince's birthday is in February.

He will be able to get his and driver's license soon after, as soon as he passes his test with six months driving experience logged.

His father, who was known as the King of Pop, would surely have been pleased to know the teenager is happily taking on responsibilities as a positive male role model in his absence.

Beautiful kids... Blanket is such a cute lad. Katherine told Oprah he doesn't want to cut his hair cus his daddy liked it long, soo sweet that he wants to keep his daddys memory alive like that.

I don't get the mother.... I think she is either the most emotionally void human, or she ISN'T the mother. No woman that can give birth to a legitimate child can just walk away.... The financial gain must be stratospheric. These children now- more than ever need a parent. Doesn't she feel ANYTHING????

I can't see Michael in Prince at all. Not even very slightly. Paris & Blanket maybe, but the older boy looks nothing at all like any one else in the family.

OMG! Why does every post about Michael Jackson's have to be riddled with post about these kids DNA. Michael was their father...PERIOD! Their biology is none of our business. He loved them and they loved him and that's what's important. The circumstances of these kids conception is a private matter!
