The two teams square off at 7:35 p.m. both nights, Oct. 18-19. The #10/#9 Irish opened the season last weekend by winning the Ice Breaker Tournament, getting wins versus Maine (1-0) and Nebraska-Omaha (3-2). The #13/#13 Bulldogs opened at home last weekend and split a pair of games with Ohio State, winning the opener, 6-2, before dropping the second game, 3-2.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish get the 2012-13 regular season underway on Friday, Oct. 12 when they face off against the University of Maine Black Bears at 6:00 p.m. (CT) in the opening game of the 2012 Ice Breaker Tournament. Also participating in the tourney is Army and Nebraska-Omaha. Those two teams will face each other at 9:00 p.m. (CT) on Friday night. Both of Friday's games will be telecast live by the NBC Sports Network with Dave Strader and Pierre Maguire calling the action. On Saturday, the third-place game will take place at 3:30 p.m. (CT) with the championship game set for 6:30 p.m. (CT). NBC Sports Network will telecast the championship game.
