Women's Tennis Pulls Out Close One-Point Win At Home

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis team started a three-match weekend homestand with a close 5-4 win over Ohio Dominican on Friday (Oct. 12).

The Bulldogs took the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) home match at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center to improve to 9-4 overall and 8-4 in league action this season.

FSU trailed 2-1 following doubles play, but came back to win four of the six singles flights to notch the triumph.

Ferris State received singles wins from Tabitha Simpson, Laurence LeBlanc, Sydnie Sine and Julia Fusik.

In addition, the combination of LeBlanc and Fusik was an 8-4 winner in doubles action at the second flight.

The Bulldogs host Ashland on Saturday (Oct. 13) at 10 a.m. (ET) in Big Rapids.
