FMC Technologies Inc., a leading global provider of technology solutions for the energy industry, has hired almost 700 people this year and is looking for 400 more - from CNC machinists to offshore technicians.

To find the right people to grow with FMC Technologies, the company, named by Fortune Magazine as the World's Most Admired Oil and Gas Equipment, Service Company in 2012, is opening its doors for dual job fairs 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13. The Light Industrial Career Fair is at 1777 Gears Road, and the Offshore Technician Career Fair is at 11220 TC Jester.

"We are in need of developing people and their capacity," said Brian Janak, director of operations, WR Subsea. "While we seek people with relevant experience, we will train those who display an attitude that matches our core values."

He said FMC Technologies (has) locations throughout the world, (and) the work environment is characterized by teamwork, collaboration with customers, innovation, world-class safety culture, mutual respect and a genuine desire to help our customers succeed.

"To support our plans for growth, FMC Technologies is investing in talent development and establishing FMC University to take care of all the global training and learning in the company. The School of Engineering is in place and the plan is to launch several other schools during 2012," said Geir Arne Skau, human resources manager, WR Subsea.
