But what about the pigs? When will we be able to play from their perspective? A new report suggests that may happen sooner than we think. Read More...

Watching developers make millions on simple iOS games really makes us want to create our own game so we can get in on the action. The problem for most people is they don't even know where to begin when it comes to writing code, but a new program called iStencyl aims to do away with that problem.

iStencyl allows users to create entire games using a simple block builder rather than code, however, if you do happen to be somewhat code-savvy you will have support for Objective-C. The software is available for PC and Mac and games can be tested in the program using the included app simulator or without the program on an actual iOS device (if you have an iOS developer account). With 5 or so separate titles now available, EA hasn't been shy when it comes releasing The Sims on iPhone and iPad. Now they have released The Sims FreePlay so anyone can watch Sims run around while the house goes up in flames and we clearly won't have to spend a dime.

The Sims FreePlay is pretty much what you'd expect out of Sims game. We start off by creating a character and the game gives us certain goals to reach with that character. Players will basically continue through by creating new homes and new Sims to fill them while we sit back and let the sometimes hilarious interactions between the virtual neighbors entertain us. Plants vs. Zombies has available on iOS devices for quite some time, but Android gamers who have wanted to get their hands on the extremely addictive mobile game have only been able to do so via the Amazon App Store, which a lot of Android devices don't have access to. Thankfully that has changed.

Today PopCap Games and EA have finally pushed the game, along with Peggle, to the official Android Market. Now that the Amazon App Store exclusivity has run out you're probably wondering if Plants vs Zombies will hold onto the $2.99 price tag now that it's available via the Android Market, and we're happy to say it will. Streaming game service, OnLive, has recently put out and update for its Android app that will let us play full PC-quality HD games on smartphones and tablets like Amazon's recent Kindle Fire. Support for iOS devices like the iPhone and iPad is coming soon, very soon we hope.

The OnLive app, which originally only allowed users to browse through the catalog of available games and use the social features the service provides, will now give gamers complete gameplay support for any of the titles the service currently offers, such as Batman: Arkham City and Rockstar's L.A. Noire. Read More...

Do you yearn to climb inside 50 tons of humanoid-shaped metal and wield an arsenal of high-tech weaponry? If you're not already a fan of the MechWarrior series, then you ought to be. Now is the perfect time to give it a shot, with Singapore-based game developer Personae Studios set to launch MechWarrior: Tactical Command on Apple's iOS platform.

Big mechs will be landing on the iPhone and iPad next year

The announcement, which can be read in full here, was accompanied by a 1-minute trailer (which the screenshot above is pulled from). Judging on the footage, MechWarrior: Tactical Command looks to be fairly far along in its development already, although the release schedule is still a nebulous year-long window. Hit up the YouTube video to get a look for yourself.

Considering Microsoft has their own mobile operating system they have been trying to draw a customer base toward (Windows Phone 7), I never really expected this to happen -- but it finally has. Xbox LIVE users can now access and edit their account on the go with the new My Xbox LIVE app for iOS devices!

As you can imagine, this was an instant download for us as soon as we found out about it and it's everything we could have hoped for. After you log in using your Live ID (the e-mail and password used to create your Xbox LIVE account) you're instantly thrown into a very familiar space. The “home” section loads up with the same gaming “spotlight' we find on our Xbox 360 dashboard and from there we have access to two other tabs – “social” and “games”. Read More...
