The Audio G.A.N.G. (Game Audio Network Guild) have published a great interview with our very own flOw composer, Austin Wintory. It is the first interview in which he explains some of his process behind composing an interactive soundscape, with sound effects that could sound like music, and vice versa (if you've played flOw you know what I mean).

Check it out by following the link on the front page of the Audio G.A.N.G website.

FullMoonShow

Ryan Schneider and James Stevenson at Insomniac were nice enough to invite me to come over to their studios to chat about digital distribution, how thatgamecompany got it's name, and Aristotle. You can hear it on their “Full Moon Show” at the Insomniac website.

Video Conferencing with Holland

Posted by on June 13th, 2007

Video conference with NHTV Breda University

Yes! The entire country of Holland! It was incredible.

Well, not exactly the WHOLE country, but probably the best part of it, the NHTV: Breda University of Applied Sciences. Stefano Gualeni was so awesome in arranging with us a video conference so we could talk with his students about developing experimental student games, and how to leverage them when you're just a lowly student. Jenna Speiden from CAA helped organize our end, so we could even do this fancy thing where we switched between a video feed of us, and of our PowerPoint Presentation! I thought it was nothing short of a miracle.

What's best, is now we know how to do it in the future! So email us if you are interested in having us talk with your students, and your school has a video conference set-up. It was so great talking with young game developers across the world from here!
