“State of Play” is a new videogames interview show that brings you real, in-depth, and personal interviews with the gaming industry’s most interesting people. And they kicked off  their series with a 3-part interview with co-Founder Kellee Santiago! Watch the videos below for a discussion on the past, present, and future of thatgamecompany.

Cellist Tina Guo recorded this video at the rehearsal last night for the Golden State Pops Orchestra show, “Video Game Soundtracks,” which is taking place in San Pedro, CA on Saturday, April 9th. The conductor, Austin Wintory, is the composer for “Journey,” and is creating a unique arrangement (still in progress!) for this live performance.

“Double Jump” interviewed Robin Hunicke recently at the Meaningful Play conference, and talks about going from EA to TGC, and being a woman developer. Her section starts around 12:30, but TGC friend, Ben Miller, has an interview right before her and gives some great advise about going indie!

Kellee Santiago sat down recently with CBC’s Nora Young on the program, “Spark,” to discuss her background, thatgamecompany’s goals, and, naturally, “Red Dead Redemption“.

This is a talk that Jenova, Nick Clark, and myself have done at a number of different conferences, but I thought I would put it here for those who couldn’t attend and are interested. I take the audience through our general design philosophy, but then demo a number of the prototypes we developed as we searched for the final “Flower” experience.
