In Loving Memory

Well, I realize this is the first very personal blog post here, but as I think this is a place to reveal our production process, I feel it is important to mention this event.

On 6:54am on Friday, Oct 21st, my aunt, Aleida Estella Santiago, passed away as a result of cancer.

She was the first person close to me who has passed away in my lifetime, and it has been a harrowing event.

I received the news that she was at the end of her life while conducting interviews at the Sony PR event, Gamer's Day, and she passed away two days before we reached Alpha. It has been a strange dichotomy of grief and excitment, as the death of someone close to you sends shockwaves throughout your entire life, in ways that you just do not know until you have experienced it.

I can never thank my team enough for being supportive and understanding. I know there are certain personalities who thrive on being able to work through any tragedy, illness, or stress; I am not one of those people. I am so thankful to be a part of a project in which our value for each other equals our value for our work, and I hope that as our company continues to grow we never lose this.

As it gets close to the PS3 launch, we see more and more media coverage about flOw PS3. In spite of the fake trailers made of stolen preliminary videos, we see many positive reactions. Even though it is not a surprise, it still feels like a dream when you see our energetic Kellee on the gamespot interview.
