Giving an energetic and intimate performance, fans found themselves in close proximity to their rock idols as the band proved that they had just as much on-stage chemistry as they did 50 years ago.

The band, who will be celebrating their 50th anniversary with a series of special London and New York gigs next month, opened their set with classic hit Route 66 that also appeared on the group's 1964 debut album.

Frontman Mick Jagger chatted to the crowd in French before they performed a selection of their classic tunes including Miss You, Start Me Up, It's Only Rock 'N' Roll, Tumbling Dice, Midnight Rambler as well as a cover of Muddy Waters' Champagne & Reefer.

The show also included the live debut of Doom and Gloom one of two new songs that will appear on The Stones' upcoming GRRR! compilation.

Check out Keith's estate on Google maps / satellite view. Its just outside Weston, Conneticut next to ''the devil's lair'' and right on Godfrey lake. Its not just one house either. I guess he goes there in the summertime and lives at Parrot Cay in the Turks and Cacos Islands in the wintertime. What an awesome dude. The planet's coolest person.
