Just like her sister the Duchess of Cambridge, Pippa Middleton has shown her love of the British High Street by stepping out in a bargain dress while in New York.

The canary yellow shift dress worn by Pippa as she attended the U.S. Open tennis on her 29th birthday is from Phase Eight.

The lace number with three quarter sleeves is also available in white and is currently on sale from the store's website for £49.50 (reduced from the original price of £99).

The cut price means the accessories Pippa teamed with the dress were actually more expensive. She wore £215 Russell and Bromley Coco Pop wedges and carried a £250 Kate Spade handbag as she cheered on Andy Murray during his quarter final victory.

Earlier in the week, Pippa donned the same wedges and wicker bag at the tennis tournament. But this time she wore them with a designer colour block dress, called the Rayleigh, £375 from by Paper London.

Pippa is currently in the Big Apple to attend meetings for her new new book launch. The tennis fan has coincided her trip with the U.S. Open and is also expected to attend New York Fashion Week shows.

While she has been seen in different clothing every day so far during her stay, she's stuck to her baggage allowance by limiting the number of shoes and bags she's packed.

She wore the same wedges and wicker bag as she attended a meeting on Madison Avenue on Wednesday. She championed the British High Street again with a blue blouse from Next, which is no longer on sale via their website but can be bought from sellers on eBay from £16.

Her red jeans, similar to the blue Zara trousers her sister favours, cost £165 from Kate Spade. The designer seems to be Pippa's current favourite as she also wore their £93 white sunglasses.

Later that evening, she took a leaf out of her sister's style book by wearing a beige Whistles jacket that was seen on the Duchess last year and beige strappy LK Bennett sandals - also owned by Kate.

But Pippa proved she can keep ahead of her style icon sister by wearing the jacket and heels with a black and beige dress from the pre-spring 2013 collection from Nonoo. She wore the  £373 'Alexandra' dress with a £140 Wilbur and Gussie leopard print clutch.

Meanwhile, yesterday she kept up her style credentials by wearing another dress from Nonoo's range, this time a red 'Imelda' £248 skater which she teamed with matching red French Sole ballet pumps and £186 Givenchy sunglasses.

I loved Princess Diana and I love Kate Middleton too! Princes William & Harry are a credit to their mother. The other Royals I don't really give two hoots about!

Shouldn t she, her sister and William be attending the paraolympics...it is a shame really and embarrassing that all these famous english reps have lost interest in the olympics now...whether people like Pippa or not, she does represent her country now.

It is astonishing to me how some people think that they have a divine right to hate people whom they don¿t know and will never know. Kate, Pippa, James and their parents have done nothing to deserve all this venom that people spews at them. Simply because Prince William fell in love and married a commoner, some of you are writhing with jealousy and evil wishes. I¿m sure this would not be the case if Kate & her family had been members of the British aristocracy. Some of you British make me sick! All your lives you¿ve been crushed under the boot of the ¿nobility¿ and your ¿betters¿, and you just love it and lap it up. When one of the common people succeeds fairly and squarely, instead of feeling proud, all you can do is hate and criticize. What a country! What people! No wonder the British Empire fell!
