Before The Winter Fires #1 of 3

“The Big Shitty,” quietly in a frozen Londish art garage.  For more
info & other beautiful vids from Before The Winter Fires, check’m here.

It occurs to me that I am a former dancer. I was gonna say “I just
realized,” but I prefer “it occurs to me.” Anyhow, it does that I am.

EVERYTHING’s Changed On the Dance Floor – Jim Bogue remix

While tidying her computer this morning, Devon re-stumbled upon this out’ve-his-tree remix by Coventry’s own, Mr. Jim Bogue, aka Jim Schmimm, aka Invitation to Love.  Thanks, Jim!  (I’m to blame for the crap vid, by the way.  Just zoinked some pics of Jim’s FB page & hit repeat.)

Is this love or is it, uh, confusion?

“The Big Shitty” – Line of Best Fit review

“Consistently imaginative with depth to each visceral vignette, Paul Curreri’s black-and-bluesy Big Shitty is sharply and compellingly wrought. Chris Jones takes a tour.”

“Dance Floor” encourages Aussie slob airs, roast beefs, stale fishes, etc.

“So Bad,” (Baby Dee) arr. by PC

On Nov 4th, Paul is guest-performing one of Tin Angel labelmate Baby Dee‘s beautiful (but particularly terrifying) songs at an upcoming show of hers in London. Here he is working up an early, and early morning arrangement in Richard’s newly dismantled kitchen — Steve, Paul, and Neil actually did the dismantling. That’s Mr. Mason Le Long‘s guitar.

From The Big Shitty

Poor Little Motorbike

Directed by Aaron Farrington
From Paul Curreri’s 2011 record, The Big Shitty, on Tin Angel Records.

Very special and sincere thanks to Mr. Aaron Farrington for so much, to Megan Huddleston for masterfully piloting her El Camino with Aaron in the back, to Jessika Flint for pre-production assistance, to Megan, Jessika, Jessica Shade and Devon Sproule for swimming round so nicely and pouring margaritas, to Jonathan Bartels for loaning me that poor little motorbike, and to Nathan West for introducing me to Jonathan. Without a doubt, my favorite afternoon of the summer.
