Fame has its drawbacks.

BJP MP Hansraj Ahir, who received unprecedented attention after blowing the lid off the coal scam, is in a fix.

He is yet to adjust to his newfound status of a newsmaker.

For one, he is baffled by the ways of media persons.

'I never thought the issue will become so big. Now I have to groom myself to for the sake of photos,' Ahir said.

However, the MP is a gracious host and journalists who visit his home are often treated to a plate of Maharashtrian poha.

Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit the riot-hit people in Assam's relief camps at Kokrajhar, Dhubri and Chirang on Tuesday.

His visit comes amidst an intense factional feud in the Congress with a section of partymen allegedly plotting to dislodge chief minister Tarun Gogoi for his failure to stop the recurring communal violence.

The Congress party gives top billing to Assam, which elected its government for the third consecutive term.

He will present the first report card of the ministry for August on Monday.

Shinde, whose first month at the ministry was marked by gaffes is striving hard to learn the ropes at the high-profile ministry.

Unsolicited e-mails spill DRDO 'secrets'

Some unsolicited e-mails carrying contents about DRDO laboratories are in circulation.

After a number of people received such e-mails from camouflaged addresses, the DRDO issued a disclaimer cautioning the recipients not to open the messages, many of which contained attachments.

One e-mail was an incoherent message about DRDO's Advanced Systems Laboratory, which was termed as a glamorous establishment.

The case comes in the wake of threats from hackers to websites of Indian defence departments.
