With filming for her CIA action film Jack Ryan well underway and Anna Karenina about to come out, Keira Knightley has been one busy lady.

But she still found time to get dangerous for he recent edgy magazine shoot.

The Love Actually star looked smouldering and moody and wore her dark hair in a sharp geometric bob for the cover story for Flare magazine.

Her natural striking beauty shines through, despite the dramatically dark eye make-up, and Keira stares at the camera in a sultry fashion.

On the inside shot the 26-year-old actress wears a tight-fitting animal print long-sleeved bodysuit.

The cover sees her in an unusual cream long-sleeved dress with a high straight neck line.

Her bob is slightly more mussed in the shot and she wears the same smokey eye make-up as before.

Keira admitted during the interview for the Canadian fashion glossy that she shares many traits with her character in her upcoming movie Anna Karenina.

The Russian princess in Leo Tolstoy's nineteenth century novel Anna Karenina has a passionate affair with a cavalry officer but becomes increasingly jealous and irrational because of it and ends up killing herself.

She said of Anna: 'There are aspects of her that I don't like. Then you go: "Am I any better?"

'I am duplicitous and manipulative and all those things/ Hopefully that doesn't define me but they are parts of my personality.'

Keira also said of the film: “Tom Stoppard [who wrote the screenplay] said at the beginning that this is a thesis on love, and I said "Ummm. Er. Okay."

'And I think he’s quite right. Not just the sparkly bit that we’re sold, the fun, the hopefully great sex, but it’s also looking at the loneliness, the pain, the jealous madness that is all a part of that.'

The Never Let Me Go star, who is engaged to Klaxons musician James Righton, also said that she is incredibly stubborn about not letting photographers get any shots of her drunk or misbehaving.

She added: 'When I was very young, I was hounded by these hideous men.

'What they wanted was the picture of me falling out of the club.

'They weren’t going to get that out of me. No, I chose very, very deliberately not to, because I couldn’t bear the idea of giving in to them. It takes a stubbornness.'

Meanwhile Keira is shooting scenes in London for Jack Ryan, based on the Tom Clancy book series.

She play his wife Kathy.

It's interesting to see how the overwhelming majority of comments on here are negative. I have always found her uniquely beautiful and exceptionally beautiful. That said, I have seen her get all the best roles over the years, and never understood. I hate that Keira's beauty is getting her all these roles.

You all sound jealous...and you would give your right hand to have her beauty! LOL - Robyn, USA Yeah, that comment truly deserves a LOL! I'll keep my right hand thanks. The world is full of beautiful women whose looks I envy. Keira Knightly is not one of them. And if she's going to give interviews talking about how deep and dark and interesting she is she should expect people to make fun of her.

A very overestimated actress who can play only one basic part. Her voice is monsyllabic and her whole demeanour is boring with no presence whatsoever. As a support actress she is mediocre but her name is certainly not enough to carry a film. - SJ, Cardiff, 31/10/2012 18:18 Funny because she's pretty much been the only British actress (other than Kate Winslet) able to be the leading star of her movies for the last 5 years. She carried Pride and Prejudice, Atonement, Anna Karenina, Never Let Me Go etc. In fact she was described as one of Britian's only bankable stars. You may not rate her, but Hollywood loves her!

I find her very beautiful (not sexy) but I cannot stand that fake accent she puts on, she tries to sound and act like a public school girl when she actually went to a comprehensive and grew up in South London! Fake fake fake.
