Scream queen! Chris Brown stops by as Rihanna goes green for her Hollywood Halloween party

She was the picture of sophistication earlier in the day, but Rihanna went all out for her Halloween party on Wednesday evening.

Dressed all in green, the popstar looked like a carnival queen, wearing a green veil and sparkling green dress as she hosted the bash at Greystones Manor in West Hollywood.

Arriving fashionably late with friends Evelyn Lozada and Shaniece Hairston, the star looked like she'd put a lot of effort into the outfit in a complete transformation from her demure look earlier in the day for the Halloween parade.

While reality star Evelyn went all out in a red wig as Ariel from The Little Mermaid, her daughter Shaniece wore a revealing black dress and eye mask.

Proving how close they now are, Rihanna's former boyfriend Chris Brown stopped by the party, going down the bad taste route dressed as a gun-toting Arab.

Paris Hilton went for a take on Batman's Robin, wearing a short green skirt and a red push-up bustier, complete with yellow cape and eye mask.

Sporting long, black hair and and what looked like a pilot's uniform, she kept her head down as she pulled up to the party with a female friend, dressed in the same costume.

French fashion designer Christian Audigier and model girlfriend Nathalie Sorensen wore matching make-up and avant-garde black outfits as they headed into the party.

US comedian and actor Kevin Hart went for a typically light-heated outfit, dressed in a 1970s inspired costume.

Wearing a flared all-in-one boiler suit, the star added platform shoes and an afro wig under a cap.

Earlier in the day, Rihanna had worn a sheer black top visibly showed her bra as she arrived at a Halloween parade award ceremony.

The Diamonds star was crowned the Queen of West Hollywood Halloween Parade and given the key to the city by the mayor of West Hollywood, John Duran, at a ceremony on Wednesday night.

Perhaps in a nod to her new royal status the Umbrella star chose a more demure look than usual.

Teamed with the tight, sheer sleeveless top Rihanna chose a form-fitting below-the-knee black skirt with swagged fringing detail.

As she arrived to the parade on La Cienega Boulevard in West Hollywood she smiled and waved to fans and appeared in good spirits.

Despite the new lady-like look the 24-year-old had her numerous tattoos on display, as well as vampish red lipstick on and quite a lot of bling,

After Rihanna was given her award, sparkling crystal crown and the over-sized key to the city, she larked about on the red carpet for photographers pulling sexy faces and jauntily tilting her royal tiara to the side.

Just before she was crowned queen, Rihanna stood quietly on the stage, smiling.

She recently announced plans for an ambitious mini tour ahead of the release of her latest album.

Rihanna has vowed to perform seven 'intimate' gigs in seven night in seven different countries - one of which is said to be the UK.

The 777 Tour is due to kick off on November 14 but no other location details have been released yet.

Rihanna and approximately 150 journalists representing 82 countries, a select number of fans and her entourage will be travelling in a Boeing 777 from country to country, it has been reported.

Her latest album, Apologetic, is her seventh album in seven years.

Meanwhile former beau Chris Brown was noticeably missing.

Instead of being close by to cheer on Rihanna, who he is hotly rumoured to be dating again, the Look at Me Now singer stopped by the Supper Club's Halloween Costume Freak Fest in nearby Hollywood.

Brown, 23, wore lemon skinny jeans and a leather jacket and looked slightly dishevelled as he headed into the club.

I will never understand the appeal of Chris Brown. He is a woman beater, he plays with woman's hearts, his music is mediocre at best and his dancing completely rips off Michael Jackson, and he pulls publicity stunt after publicity stunt and then this. He is not even the least bit attractive. His fans defend his every move and it is sick. How blinded can they be? The low standards they must have for themselves is just sad. Red arrow me. I don't care.
