Jason Sudeikis keeps the limelight to himself as Olivia Wilde joins him at David Letterman taping

They say it is hard for any self-respecting entertainer to share the limelight.
And that was certainly the case when Jason Sudeikis appeared as a guest on the Late Show with David Letterman on Thursday.
For while the funnyman allowed his current squeeze Olivia Wilde to join him at the studios in New York, he insisted she did not get in the way of his grand entrance.
This is my moment! Jason Sudeikis waves as he arrives to film The Late Show with David Letterman in New York
And why not, for the Saturday Night Live favourite looked far more dapper than usual in a grey suit, green brown tie and shiny black shoes.
The suave 37-year-old even went as far as combing his hair back and wearing a pair of stylish designer spectacles for his appearance on the hit show.
But while Jason was looking trendy the same could not be said for self-styled intellectual Oliva, who infamously claimed she could speak Swiss last year.
What a difference! Olivia looked like she had just grabbed whatever had been lying at hand as she was dressing for the show
In fact the 28-year-old looked like she had just grabbed whatever had been lying at hand as she was dressing for the show.
For while her top half looked more than passable in a grey winter hat, matching pullover and a lovely black woolen jacket, she ruined the look by donnng what appeared to be a pair of pyjama bottoms.
Perfectionist Olivia, who changed her second name from Cockburn in honour of flamboyant Irish writer Oscar Wilde, will no doubt be disappointed she made such a rudimentary fashion blunder.
But there will undoubtedly be plenty of chances for the Cowboys and Aliens star to erase the memory of her faux pas when she attends her next red carpet event.
Big smiles: Jason was pleased by the turn out, with fans gathered to meet him
Their chilly behaviour in New York was certainly a far cry from their affectionate antics in Rome last week.
Randy Jason could not keep his hands off his much younger lover as they enjoyed the sights and sounds of The Eternal City.
She certainly seemed excited to be in the company of her boyfriend, who made a flying visit while she filmed a romantic comedy with the even older Liam Neeson.
The Third Person focuses on three interlocking love stories set in Rome, Paris and New York.
Despite the grueling filming schedule Olivia seemed most interested in trying to drink the 60-year-old under the table as they made the most of the multitude of wines on offer.
She told her horde of fans on Twitter: 'I like how Italian waiters seem concerned if I decline a third glass of wine at lunch break. This movie is gonna take a while.'
