The people of New York have undoubtedly come together after the city was hit by Superstorm Sandy.
But one duo no one would have seen getting together due to the powerful storm is Jimmy Fallon and Lindsay Lohan.
The late night chat show star said he could not believe he had bumped into the 'totally sobes' actress when they had their chance meeting in upmarket Big Apple eatery Tao.
Odd couple: Lindsay Lohan demanded Jimmy Fallon eat with her when they ran into each other at a New York restaurant after Superstorm Sandy struck
The 39-year-old regaled Andy Cohen on Thursday night's Watch What Happens Live with his tale about their surprise run-in at the posh Manhattan restaurant.
Jimmy, who was staying at the fancy Four Seasons Hotel after his downtown apartment lost power and water from the devastating storm, said she accosted him when he was dining alone.
He said: 'It's Lindsay Lohan, and she goes "What's up?"
'I go, "What do you mean what's up? It's a hurricane. What are you doing here?"'
And he said the 26-year-old Mean Girls star lived up to the movie's title by making fun of Jimmy's solo dining adventure.
They must have deep pockets: Jimmy and Lindsay were eating at expensive restaurant Tao
He said: 'She goes, "Are you here by yourself? How embarrassing."
'And she goes, "Why don't you just eat with us? Hang out with us?"
The jolly former Saturday Night Live favourite could resist enjoying a candlelit meal with the infamous starlet.
And he was glad he did, for he claimed he had an enjoyable, low-key time with the actress, who he claimed was 'loose and cool' as well 'totally sobes.'
Ahead of the devastation, Lindsay had poked at people who were worried about Sandy hitting the area.
Taking to Twitter, she wrote: ''WHY is everyone in SUCH a panic about hurricane (i'm calling it Sally)..?
'Stop projecting negativity! Think positive and pray for peace.'
Meanwhile Jimmy has not been letting the storm slow him down, and has been using a skeleton staff to shoot his show on the streets of New York.
