#TopTenTuesday – Ten ways to maximise @LinkedIn Company pages

At the start of September, LinkedIn announced the new, updated look for LinkedIn company pages. In line with a complete design overhaul and phased by functionality area, company pages was one of the last areas to get its new look.

In using the updated company pages, the only change that I can see relates to the overall design and change of the format of the site, no functional improvements have included yet, but keep an eye on the LinkedIn blog for new developments.

Getting your content listed on LinkedIn Today

In October 2011, LinkedIn launched the LinkedIn Today news aggregation service that offers an innovative way for users to read popular news articles and blog posts from across the web tailored specifically to their industry.

Since its launch its popularity has increased and has seen a number of design changes to the user interface. The LinkedIn Today offers B2B marketers and publishers a fantastic opportunity to showcase their content to those LinkedIn users that regularly use the service.

I recently ran a social media training session for a company looking to grow their existing social media activity. Whilst we were focusing on formulating a social media strategy for the company, we spoke a lot about creative uses of LinkedIn.

Organically the company had built an active membership within the group of over 8000 active members and great levels of social media engagement through discussions and comments.
