Jimmy Savile (left) and the girls 'fell about and over each other, making enough noise to wake the dead' at a location on a hillside in Yorkshire (file picture, right), he wrote in his 1974 book As It Happens. The shamed TV star, who died last year in Leeds aged 84, also recalled being recognised on a beach by a girl, who began to take off her swimsuit inside her caravan for him, leaving him 'wringing wet with heat and temptation'. ...read

First picture of boy, 16, killed in horrific hit-and-run crash as witnesses describe desperate battle to save him
Callum Hilton (left) was crossing Stand Lane in Radcliffe, Bury, Greater Manchester (right) yesterday when he was hit by a silver Peugeot. The 16-year-old suffered a serious head injury and, despite the efforts of neighbours and passersby who came to his aid, he died in hospital. The driver sped from the scene after the crash and police later found the car abandoned close to Bury town centre. A man has now been arrested, Greater Manchester Police said.

Behind the merry facade Nigella Lawson (left and far right) hides a childhood scarred with the memories of a depressive mother (right) and an unorthodox relationship with her father (centre). The cook, who was one of four children, said her mother's hot temper meant she would lash out if the children ever made too much noise.
At 16, this girl became the youngest in the world to have a life-changing operation... can you guess what it was?
Jackie Green, 19, is an aspiring model, a Miss England finalist and loves her job in an exclusive shop on London's Bond Street. And she was born a boy. After seven suicide attempts before the age of 15 Jackie became the youngest person in the world to undergo transgender surgery. Without, she says, she would not be alive today.

The victims, named locally as Craig Jewell, 21, and Josh Tate, 18, were left trapped in the burning wreckage after the car veered off a dual carriageway in Bournemouth, Dorset yesterday morning. The black Vauxhall Vectra car smashed sideways into a tree outside a row of houses which completely obliterated the middle section of the car. It was wrapped around the trunk and went up in flames. The massive impact was heard by neighbours who awoke at shortly after 4.30am and saw the car on fire. They dialled 999, alerting police, paramedics and the fire brigade.
