An on-site Twitch.TV live page.
I know we've discussed this, and I need to get back to you about it, but I would LOVE to have a live page similar to this http://swiftor.com/live.php at Destructoid.com. Of course it'd be a bit different, but it'd be great to tell people to come HERE and watch, and maybe get some peeps exploring the site a bit more, while also building a bit of traffic. '-'

Increase Streamtoid user-friendliness and promotion
While the secondary Dtoid twitch.tv channel has been around for a while now, and the main channel guys try to namedrop it when they can, it feels like Streamtoid's been getting little to no love beyond 321GoCast, TF2sdays, and a lot of Rock Band, for the most part. Searching the site for "streamtoid" only yields TF2sday announcements, there's no mention of it at all in the forums, and even the channel page itself has no real info beyond "it's kind of unscheduled." I've a few ideas to help it get a bit more attention, and maybe some fresh blood, if…

Multiple Color Schemes for text
Do something similar to how Penny Arcade or ArsTechnica does, or be even more awesome by allowing people to choose any websafe color as the background/text.

Make it so review scores only show up on rollover
I like the new review box, but I don't like that it shows the scores. I like to read the review before having an empirical number, because I feel that knowing the score flavors the text one way or the other.
13 votesGood point. Maybe we can make this a user-definable variable in the profile settings, as some people prefer the score out in the open.

Hide comment replies by default
Rather than showing all comments and their replies all the time, I'd prefer to have the option to expand a comment to view the replies. Not only would it keep the comment section from looking disjointed, it would keep long back-and-forth arguments (which are bound to happen) hidden from view unless the viewer actually wanted to see them.

A 'random blog' button which would redirect the user to a random blog.
I would like to see a 'random blog' function which would direct the user to a random Community Blog.

Animated gif support in comments
The Disqus comments don't support animated gifs. If you upload one, it just becomes a static jpg. Not a huge deal given the overwhelming improvement the new site is, but it does take a little fun out of things. If Disqus won't support certain types of images, is there anyway to also include BBCode or other in-line image posting?

Remove the option to downvote
I think they should be removed simply because downvotes don't encourage an open platform for discussion. In every community I have seen it implemented it encourages members to think the same way, otherwise they risk a deluge of negative downvotes. Just as an example saying that you like a shooter could draw the ire of the community and mean your comment would be buried.
Removing downvotes also might have an added benefit by encourage discussion, as anyone that disagrees will have to reply to voice their disagreement instead of doing a fire and forget downvote and moving on. It's just…

Delete cBlogs
Along with publishing and hiding cBlogs, I think it would be a good idea to have an option to delete a cBlog completely. For example, I have a few aborted cBlogs that I will never publish and they're just wasting space in my "Manage Blogs" listing.

Make a top 100 games of all time list
First let me say that your "Top 50 Videogames of the Decade" was amazing. It was by far the best videogame list I have read on the internet, and trust me, I've read a lot of them.
Having said that, I would love to read a feature about "The Best Videogames of All Time."
I'm looking to go back and play some old videogames and discover some recent gems that have gone overlooked. I, however, do not hav e videogame knowledge like the staff at destructoid, so I would love to hear your list so I can go back and…

Adjust your RSS to not share entire articles. It's annoying but also means I don't have to visit your site. IMAGINE THE AD REVENUE!!!
Currently when you post a review or whatever, I get the WHOLE THING in my RSS reader. I should get the first paragraph or something, then a link to the full article. That's the way all other RSS feeds work.
Instead your feed saps my bandwidth with all the pictures and interrupts my news flow. I've got to scroll for like 5 seconds to get past any stories I'm not interested in. I read Destructoid because I want to sit here and rot in my own filth, not because I want a workout.
This is bad for your own self-interest…

Create a Dark Theme for the site/forum.
Title says it clearly enough. The site is too damn bright for my sensitive basement-dwelling eyes, Having a Dark Theme option would make it a lot better in my opinion because everyone prefers the dark side of the force.

Allow me to see all of my followers.
I just got over 50 followers, and I can only see the first 50. Need a way to view all, and by page.

This came in from a reader: Create a PC peripherals list of categories separate from our game reviews, and make those more easily searchable

Change the login page to redirect back to where you clicked login, instead of the front page.
Not much explanation needed here. Checking the referring page for the redirect address should be all it takes.

Connect articles of Games together
I would like to suggest a change. When we open up an article on the left hand panel we can still see the reviews box. I would suggest instead of that there should be a list of related articles.
For eg. If it is about Wii Livestreaming event then it can list the articles with related hashtags. If it is a game then list all news related to that game to the right.
It would make the place easier to navigate. You guys can check up how The Verge does it. They call it storystream and it makes it sooo…

Remove the 6 preview pictures from the posts with galeries, or at least make them smaller.
I like the look of the new site, but what really stung in my eye were the preview pictures from the galleries. I think that they break the flow of the site. It is nice looking from title to title, but having these pictures suddenly block your view is annoying. I believe putting less many and making them smaller will solve the problem. maybe give posts an icon depicting that they have a gallery works too.

make upvoting/downvoting require a comment.
I'm not a big social media person, but I think if we're going to have a upvote/downvote system that a comment should be required before the system accepts a vote. Clearly this can't be the case for the current Wii U contest as it is an experiment of sorts, but I think by making votes require a comment you'll get a few more lurkers out of the shadows and into actually participating in comments and possibly even the c-blogs as a result. Perhaps voting should require some level of participation rather just having a handle and lurking.
