Members of a swanky club favoured by Prince Harry and the Middletons fear it is going to be ‘chavved up’ following its takeover by a reality TV star.

Made In Chelsea’s Diego Bivero-Volpe wants to turn the £500-a-year Brompton Club in South Kensington – which is renowned for its fine dining – into a ‘rock ’n’ roll’ venue.

The 28-year-old says: ‘There will be a few who won’t like it but we want to attract a new clientele anyway. We want to shake off the club’s stiff image and make it a hedonistic place.

'It’s going to be a wild club with people dancing on the tables and drinking lots.

‘Each week we are going to have a different slogan on Facebook. This week it is “Let’s Get Naked And Smoke Cigarettes”.’

But one irate member responded: ‘They are trying to turn it into another Mahiki, which is not what we want.’

Diego made a dramatic appearance on the last series of Made in Chelsea when he confronted his former girlfriend about whether she cheated on him.

The aristocratic nightclub owner had been living with former cast member Kimberley Garner in a £1million apartment in Chelsea.

The couple – who were introduced at West London nightclub Public by Guy Pelly, a close friend of Prince Harry – were sharing a £1 million apartment in Chelsea when Kimberley landed a part in the series in January.

A month later she began filming the ‘scripted reality’ series – which takes real elements of cast members’ personal lives and weaves them into a soap-style storyline.

He claimed he was forced to end the relationship after discovering his girlfriend’s double life by watching her secret dates on TV.

Diego's mother is an Italian countess and his diplomat father is descended from one of Spain’s oldest aristocratic families.
