Teenage Dream: Kendall Jenner celebrates her 17th birthday by flying a helicopter to an exotic location with mom Kris Jenner

This time last year Kendall Jenner was ringing in her sweet sixteenth with a candy themed party at the Andaz Hotel in West Hollywood, where she was given a $90,000 Range Rover by her parents.

Hard to top such a lavish shindig at such a tender age, not to mention the gift; but as usual, her mother Kris Jenner has been both resourceful and imaginative in planning this year's fun.

The 'momager' - who turns 57 herself today - marked her daughter's big day on Saturday by taking her to an airfield where they picked a vessel to take them on an exotic jaunt.

The pair are in Australia, where Kendall shot a cover for Miss Teen Vogue.

The delighted youngster was seen posing next to a single engine turboprop Cessna Caravan, and a helicopter... which is the aircraft the pair selected.

Later, Kendall showed their stark destination by throwing her arms in the air in front of the shiny propeller-powered beast in the middle of nowhere.

She wrote: 'We just found the biggest rock and landed on it!'

The aspiring model had changed into her bikini, suggesting that she and Kris were enjoying a dip in the antipodean water.

They both posted pictures from the copter showing beautiful secluded islands in the azure waters.

Later, Kris tweeted a picture of her flying with the caption 'Well, somebody had to fly us out of the Australian outback.'

But she earlier posted a picture of her daughter at the helm, and wrote: 'Kendall's flying the plane.'

Kendall looked lovely for the occasion in a white top, camouflage skinny jeans, tennis shoes and a fashionable fedora.

Meanwhile her mother appeared to be dressed for Down Under in an all-white outfit and straw hat.

Kris was excitedly updating her followers as to what the duo while Kendall kept coy on her own Twitter page.

Posting a photo of her theme-appropriate trousers, the gorgeous teen wrote cryptically: ‘Off to another secret location’.

The pair are in the exotic location for a photo shoot as Kendall has landed a cover for the prestigious Vogue Australia magazine.

Kendall’s older half-sisters Kim and Kourtney Kardashian are currently in Florida to film Kourtney and Kim Take Miami, but they ensured they took the time to wish their sibling a happy birthday.

Kim tweeted to her 16.5 million followers: 'Happy birthday to my gorgeous baby sister, Kendall! I love you soooooo much!!! I can’t believe you are 17! Xo.'

complete jealousy, if you had this amount of money you would spoil your kids aswell. shes also a model so makes more than enough as well as appearances in the tv show they have to fund this lifestyle. and lastly photographers weren't waiting for them, you can clearly see its a photo taken on a phone and put through instragram

-hh, Agreed! It's absolutely fine to live a glamorous life but I'd want to make it on my own to get there! On another note...it's nice that her school is flexible enough that she gets to skip to go to Australia for a vacay, whereas I got humiliated by a teacher today for missing school last Friday so I could review for 2 SAT II tests that were early Saturday morning. I had to seek outside help through a tutor for weeks because the material on the tests is barley even covered in the Ontario curriculum, so I wanted to take a day off to summarize everything before test day, but apparently that's not a good enough reason to miss even ONE day. Needless to say, I'm irritated beyond belief with the inflexible school system in this country (and I go to a private school).

so what.... I took my family/teenage children on helicopter flight and chartered a 40 ft yacht for my 13 year old son's birthday when we were on holiday in Antigua for our Silver Wedding this summer....didn't feel need to tweet about it though as i have a life!!
