It's a dogs life! Jennie Garth and her two girls take family pooch for a day at the park

She's back on the dating scene after splitting from husband Peter Facinelli earlier this year.

But the weekend was all about family time for Jennie Garth and her girls.

The former Beverly Hills, 90210 actress took her youngest daughters, Fiona and Lola, and their dog, Black Pearl, out for a day at the park in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The blonde trio dressed down for the casual Sunday outing.

Jennie held six-year-old Fiona's hand while clutching her dog's leash as he trot beside her and nine-year-old Lola walked behind.

The 40-year-old mother-of-three wore baggy sweatpants, a tank top and flip-flops for the outing, and swept her hair back into a ponytail.

Before heading out to lunch, Jennie and the girls enjoyed some time with their pooch at a dog park in Studio City, where he splashed around.

Tweeting a picture of the short-haired dog shaking off in a small plastic pool, Jennie wrote: '#blackpearl making all the other dogs at the dog park jealous. #slowmoshake.'

The actress recently opened up about her dating life.

Speaking on The Jeff Probst show on Friday she said she's a bit confused about the type of guy she'd like to date.

'I only like guys that are not nice,' she said, admitting she is conflicted.

'What is wrong with us girls? It's not like I want somebody to treat me badly. I want somebody who looks like they could treat me badly, but then really treats me good,' she explained.

Jennie, who also has a 15-year-old daughter, Luca, has been linked to photographer Noah Abrams and real estate agent Jason Clark since her split from Facinelli after 11 years of marriage.

But she's admitted dating is not high up on her priority list.

She told Fox and Friends: 'I always said I would rather lick a dirty floor than go back to dating…dating is very new for me. I have training wheels on right now.'

The star, who has been showing off a noticeably shrinking frame in recent months, recently admitted to Entertainment Tonight Canada that her breakup had affected her body image.

'I think anybody who has been through something like what I'm going through and have been going through for the past couple years, can definitely relate that your body changes with your emotional state of mind sometimes,' she said.

'I think a lot of women can relate to that.'

Jennie is meanwhile focused on work.

She recently wrapped The Eleventh Victim, a Lifetime movie adaptation of a novel penned by CNN correspondent Nancy Grace.
