1. Kawaihae Small Boat Harbor-North Side of Kawaihae Bay (State) – Boat ramp and pier, small white sand beach. Fishing, sailing, swimming outside of ramp and pier. Parking, picnic areas, restrooms, showers, telephones. Hazardous boat traffic, currents and waves.

2. Kawaihae Harbor-South Side of Kawaihae Bay (State) – Man-made harbor and breakwater. Fishing, surfing, swimming. Parking, portable toilets, 24-hour security, showers. Hazardous currents, waves and boat traffic. Open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

3. Pu`ukohola Heiau National Historic Site (Federal) – Culturally and historically significant area. Hiking. Parking, restrooms, picnic areas, security. Open 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. More information is available at the National Park Service website or call (808) 882-7218.

4. Coastal Trail from Pu`ukohola Heiau NHS to Spencer Beach Park – Unpaved trail along rocky coast. Fishing, hiking. Parking and restrooms at Spencer Beach Park. Hazardous footing, currents and waves. More information on coastal trails is available at the State of Hawai`i Department of Land and Natural Resources, Na Ala Hele Trail and Access System website or call (808) 974-4221.

5. Spencer Beach Park (County) – White sand beach. Fishing, swimming, hiking. Parking, picnic areas, restrooms, showers, fire pits, telephones, lifeguards, security. Camping by permit only. 6. Coastal Trail from Spencer Beach Park to Mau`umae Beach – Unpaved trail along rocky and sandy coast. Fishing, hiking, swimming. Parking and restrooms at Spencer Beach Park. Hazardous footing, currents and waves. 7. Mau`umae Beach at Mauna Kea Beach Resort – White sand beach. Hiking, fishing, swimming. Limited parking passes via main resort entrance. No facilities. Hazardous footing, currents and waves. Open sunrise to sunset. Alternative access: park at Spencer Beach Park to begin hike along the coast to Mau`umae Beach. 8. Kauna`oa Beach at Mauna Kea Beach Resort – White sand beach. Hiking, swimming. Limited parking passes via main resort entrance. Restrooms, showers, security. Hazardous footing, currents and waves. Open sunrise to sunset. 9. Coastal Trail from Kauna`oa Beach to Hapuna Beach – Unpaved trail along rocky coast with low and high cliffs. Hiking, fishing. Parking and restrooms at Kauna`oa and Hapuna Beaches. Hazardous footing, currents and waves. 10. Hapuna Prince Hotel Shoreline Access – White sand beach. Hiking, swimming. Enter through Hapuna Prince Resort main entrance. Parking. No facilities. Hazardous footing, currents and waves. Open 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

11. Hapuna Beach State Recreational Area (State) – White sand beach. Hiking, swimming, and surfing. Parking, pavilions, picnic areas, showers, restrooms, lifeguards. A-Frame shelter camping by permit only. Hazardous footing, currents and waves.
