Inside the MLB

A 162-game season, two one-game wildcards, two devision series' and two league championships have been played this season. All that's left is the biggest spectacle in baseball: the World Series. The SF Giants and Detroit Tigers, no strangers to the Fall Classic, are back in the national spotlight and ready to bring home some hardware to their cities.

Jim Leyland hopes his Tigers can ride the hot hand of Justin Verlander to claim glory which Bruce Bochy's men are swinging the bat as well as possible, scoring nine runs in Game 7 of the NLCS. The stakes are high and the emotion and determination will be unparalled as we find out who is the best team in baseball.

The stage is set for the Fall Classic as the Detroit Tigers and San Francisco Giants will square off for their shot at baseball history.

The Giants battled the Cardinals for seven games before walloping St. Louis in Game 7 to seal the pennant. The Tigers absolutely tore apart the Yankees with a four-game sweep to make their way into the World Series.

All the cards are on the table and it's time to crown a new champion of baseball. Get your World Series tickets now!

Tiger fans have more than enough to cheer about in 2012 after the dominant playoff performance put on by the Detroit Tigers. With a 4-0 sweep of the Yankees in the ALCS the Tigers move on to the World Series and could potentially end the season as champions with a team made up of a Triple Crown Winner, League MVP, and the Cy Young winner.

The World Series is a 7 game series where the home field advantage follows a 2 - 3 - 2 structure. The Giants took advantage of the first two games being played at ATT park leaving the Tigers in a scramble to make something happen in Detroit for games 3 - 5.

After falling to a 3-1 disadvantage against the Cardinals in the NLCS the San Francisco Giants pulled off a comeback by winning the final four games in the series to advance to the 2012 World Series. The Giants will be looking to repeat their last visit to the World Series in 2010 where they walked of the field as MLB Champions.
