The history of Kurri Kurri is painted on murals throughout the town, from the Rothbury riots to the famous Headon Greta drive-in.
The various colourful murals are scattered throughout the district including Kurri Kurri, Weston, Abermain, Pelaw Main, Stanford Merthyr and Heddon Greta.
Kurri Kurri tourism is excited as the area is a finalist in the 2012 Regional Achievement and Community Awards.
The walking tours of the murals are proving more popular as the weather warms up and they take about an hour and a half.
