Kenny Miller understands the enormity of Scotland's 2014 World Cup qualifier against Macedonia at Hampden Park on Tuesday night.

The Scots began their Group A campaign with a disappointing goalless draw at home to Serbia on Saturday.

Speaking at Scotland's Mar Hall training base, the Scotland striker said: 'We need to win. We need to get a goal, goals win games.

'We played well on Saturday and created half-chances and on another day we would have taken them. We are disappointed not to have won.

'But it's not a bad point from Serbia, who are a very good team, and if we win tomorrow we will find ourselves in a decent place in the group.

'We are going out to win the game and with two home games, we would be disappointed if we didn't win one of them.'

Meanwhile, defender Christophe Berra is comfortable with the pressure that comes with the game gainst Macedonia.

Some Scotland fans greeted the final whistle with boos on Saturday and, although the Hampden crowd is sure to be behind their team from the start tomorrow, they could become restless if the hosts do not get a first-half goal.

But Wolves defender Berra said: 'Footballers, no matter if you're playing at international level or club level, there are always expectations and pressure and we have just got to deal with it.

'As soon as you cross the white line, you go out and try to win the game.

'This is no different, we've been under pressure before and we'll just have to deal with it.'

Macedonia held Croatia for 69 minutes in Zagreb on Friday until Nikica Jelavic headed the only goal, and the visitors came close to taking a surprise lead in an impressive first-half display.

'Macedonia are no mugs, they have got top players who play at top European clubs,' Berra said.

'I have played them before and it was a difficult game. It's going to be the same.

'They will be coming here and looking to spoil things for the home support.

'But if we play as we did on Saturday then we have more chance of winning than losing.'

Miller can do the nation a favour by becoming suddenly injured before the game tonight, possibly Mr Adam can tackle him during the warm up, that way he will also do something useful for a change.

Ps, Rabbie (not a rabbi) Burns once penned a poem to the haggis in which he called it 'great Chieftain o' the puddin' race'. But then Rabbie never seen Miller kick a ba'!

When does Haggis hunting season begin? I heard it was April 'till June. Can anyone confirm? Do these creatures really have one leg longer than the other? - Elfminster , Ivory Tower, Spain, 10/9/2012 12:57 No Elfminister, they don't have any legs at all, they're actually sheeps bladders stuffed with heart, lungs, oats and spices, boiled in a big pan.

We'd have a far greater chance if Miller doesn't start tomorrow. He was utterly woeful against Serbia- words cannot describe how hapless he was. Avril needs to get Mackie and Rhodes on the pitch. We need to be more direct and attacking. Another 0-0 or a 1-0 doesn't help anyone.

Scotland and especially Craig Levein, have got to stop being so negative, especially when they are playing at Hampden. I would like to Scots to do well/qualify but they wont do it whilst playing Kenny Miller, he not a natural goalscorer. The manager needs to stop being so stubborn and sort out the issues between him and Steven Fletcher, then play him up front with Jordan Rhodes!

Gawd he's good eh? "We need to win. We need to get a goal, goals win games." With such as him in our side it's amazing we don't win every game. Doh!

I want the Jocks to qualify even though I'm English. They always enjoy themselves and are a great example of what supporting your team is all about.
