International Baccalaureate

The International Baccalaureate is an internationally-recognised pre-university course designed for highly motivated secondary students aged between 16 and 19. The program is available to domestic and international students. Students completing the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma curriculum receive an IB score which is translated by university admission centres for entry into university courses.

Three Queensland state high schools and three Queensland Academies offer students the opportunity to study the International Baccalaureate Diploma program:

• Indooroopilly State High School
• Mountain Creek State High School
• Cairns State High School
• The Queensland Academy for Science, Mathematics and Technology
• The Queensland Academy for Creative Industries
• The Queensland Academy for Health Services
