Pregnant Kristen Bell's House Of Lies... as she hides baby bump behind bag while shooting TV drama

Clever camera angles and computer trickery are all well and good.

But who needs that when a bag will do. Pregnant Kristen Bell was spotted on the set of her TV show this week, hiding her growing baby bump behind a bag as she filmed scenes for House Of Lies with co-star Don Cheadle.

Unless producers are planning on writing a pregnancy story line into the script, they will no doubt be relying on such props to hide the actress's real-life changing shape.

Kristen, 32, who plays a promiscuous go-getting management consultant in the Showtime series, was filming scenes for the second season in Los Angeles on Tuesday, which premieres in January.

She looked lovely in her business-like dress while toting her handbag prop, which she artfully used to conceal her bump.

Kristen and fiance Dax Shepard, 37, recently confirmed they were expecting their first child together.

Speaking on the Jay Leno show last week, Dax confirmed the news, saying: 'It's true.'

He also revealed that his mother is extremely excited about becoming a grandparent.

'My mom is probably the most excited. It's an unhealthy thing - I don't recommend it - but she has a Google alert on my name, so if I do anything, she finds out about it, basically.'

The pair, who recently starred together in the film Hit and Run, began dating in 2007 and have been engaged for almost three years.

'They’re so excited - they’re both ecstatic,' a friend tells America's People magazine. 'They can’t wait to become parents,'

'Kristen had a little bit of morning sickness early on but she just started shooting the second season of House of Lies and is feeling great now.'

The couple had revealed their hopes to start a family earlier this year.

She means business: Bell, who plays a go-getting management consultant, looked fantastic in her business attire, which she teamed with high heels

They had previously said they would not marry until same-sex marriage is legal in their home state of California.

In February, the Forgetting Sarah Marshall star said: 'The reason we're not rushing to get married is because I don't feel appropriate taking advantage of a right that's denied to my [gay and lesbian] friends.

'That's why we've been so hesitant. Dax and I have talked about it a lot, and this issue is very important to both of us. We're just standing up for what we believe in.'

Bell told Larry King in August that she was comfortable with having children before saying I do.

'[It] doesn’t really bother us,' she said.
