She's strides ahead of the fashion pack! Miranda Kerr shows off her enviable legs at W magazine's 40th party

Model Miranda Kerr was certainly strides ahead of the fashion pack as she celebrated W Magazine's 40th anniversary in New York.

In a classic grey blue gown the mother-of-one sparkled at the upmarket bash with her black hair falling in lose waves over one shoulder.

Perfectly showing off her stunning curves the 29-year-old's gown draped over long limbs and was gathered at the waist to vamp up her hourglass figure.

W Magazine was celebrating its landmark 40th in at the Gramercy Park Hotel, New York, after a star-studded LA bash.

Kerr accessorised her outfit with blue Bvlgari earrings and a stunning ring as well as black peep toe shoes with a large clutch bag.

The party was hosted by Stefano Tonchi, in partnership with Tod's, with many New Yorkers begging to get an invite.

And Kerr showed she was worth her invitation as she posed up with the W Magazine coffee table book and even tweeted a picture of the glamorous dinner table.

The model only last week graced the catwalk during the annual Victoria's Secret fashion extravaganza, and she explained the Esquire why she doesn't mind parading around in tiny lingerie.

'I believe in celebrating the female figure and embracing what we've been given, not hiding that,' she said.

Speaking of whether or not she has any rules when it comes to posing in the nude, Miranda explained: 'I don't really think of rules, as long as it's classy and timeless and it's something I wouldn't be ashamed of.'

She also talked about her exercise regime, and is adamant her outdoorsy nature is the reason she stays fit.

'I really feel that my body craves to be in the mountains or by the ocean or in the countryside,' she mused. 'I like to climb. I find it very rewarding. I don't like abseiling, though. I don't like going down. I like going up.'

She adds: 'I must have been a koala in my past life.'

Steve I totally agree, no need to hate. I do think she is not THAT good looking though, she has a really funny face. But clearly doing something right!

Oh dear - here she is yet again - surely the whole country is over her "poses" and "very pleased with myself yet again expressions" . . . . if she was 15 we would laugh - at 30ish surely she is old news

What??????!!!! Miranda Kerr put some clothes on!!!! She did not go around completely naked but the dress is too big for her, it's like she is afraid of it. She definitely wants to get away from it...! she must think a cloth is some kind of seaweed.

she looks good when she gives that tilted/slightly turned head pose, that is her best pose and she is doing it every single picture, apart from that she is a boring nobody with no waist or hips.
