Blow for Everton as Miralles faces three weeks out with hamstring injury

By Dominic King

Everton fear that Kevin Mirallas is facing a three-week lay-off with a hamstring problem.

The Belgian forward was forced off during last weekend's 2-1 over Sunderland after pulling up sharply and immediately withdrew from his country's friendly with Romania.

Mirallas has undergone a scan and is out of Saturday's trip to Reading but if the results show a grade two tear, he will be sidelined for the remainder of the month.

I wish it was 'Miralles' who was injured coz I don't know who that is! Big blow for us because he's been fantastic. Maybe a chance for Oviedo to show what he can do?

Oh man, just our luck but it happens. Will be a big miss but we can scrape through until he is fit and gives others a chance.
