Going incognito! Dishevelled Al Pacino is barely recognisable as he arrives at Broadway theatre wearing scruffy clothing

He’s a movie icon, with epoch making turns in The Godfather Trilogy and Scarface under his belt.

But on Saturday, Al Pacino was just another New Yorker as he failed to create a buzz in The Big Apple.

The actor – who is currently appearing in Glengarry Glen Ross on the Broadway stage – stepped out in the city looking rather dishevelled.

Wearing a beanie hat, black trousers and long coat, the screen star’s dressed down appearance didn’t leave him with the star look.

The 72-year-old sported a newspaper sticking out of his pocket and wore unflattering brown trousers that appeared to be too long for him.

It seems he may have been running late for the job as he power walked through the area clutching to his mobile phone with a determined look in his eyes.

His fast pace did seem to catch the attention of a couple of passers-by though, who were probably alarmed by his extremely hurried movement.

Even as Pacino arrived to his entrance, those waiting to capture the stars as they went into the venue didn’t seem to sense his presence.

He easily squeezed past those with cameras in the way of the stage door and wasn’t even asked for his autograph.

Of course when he gets on stage, Pacino has to sport a suit for his part as a real estate salesman embroiled in an all-out war with his colleagues over who sells the most property.

Set during the desperate crunch of the 1980s, this play shows the cut-throat world engendered by Reaganomics as everyone fights to keep their jobs.

Ha ha... he was great in the earlier movies like The Godfather, Dog Day Afternoon, and Scarface but he over acts and yells so much in his movies now that i can't bear to watch any movie he is in anymore...

He's still young, if I was him, I would have an assistant accompany me- but he might not look- but seems- totally good.
