'It's kind of amazing!' Giuliana Rancic cradles newborn Duke as she feeds him for the first time in new video

Giuliana Rancic faced first infertility and then breast cancer on her long journey to become a mother.

So there is something extra special about the moment she first held her much loved son.

New video footage shows the TV presenter cradling Edward Duke and feeding him his very first bottle in the delivery room.

With her adoring husband Bill filming every moment, the proud mother holds her son close and gazes in amazement at the swaddled youngster.

'It feels good. I'm not nervous at all. I feel like I can take care of him,' remarks the 37-year-old.

'I expected to be more nervous and more flustered, like I had no idea what to do.

'But I feel totally at ease. I just feel like I know what he needs.'

First meeting: Duke, who goes by his middle name, was born via a surrogate mother who stepped in after his parents struggled to conceive

Bill tells her: 'Your instincts are kicking in'.

He is also obviously delighted by the boy, remarking: 'This kid is like, super chill, man.' The footage was posted online at USmagazine.com.

They had first undergone several failed bouts of IVF, followed by Giuliana's subsequent diagnosis with breast cancer.

Their struggles to become parents formed the major plotline of the reality show Giuliana & Bill on the Style network.

The footage of Duke will be broadcast on the new series of the show which airs on Tuesdays at 8pm (EST) on Style in the U.S., and the following day at 9pm in the UK.

she is in a gown because it is easier to do skin to skin and bond with her baby, they gave him the first name Edward to honour both of their fathers people need to stop judging until you know the full story.

am glad they have their baby, is it using her eggs or the surrogate's ?this woman is soo thin, looks skeletal, but I do like her as she seems very down to earth

Giuliana is sooooooooo annoying! Why do you all red arrow people who speak the truth? She loves attention!! She was even on The Today Show AGAIN this morning! You are not famous-no one cares and why do you have on a hospital gown? Watch next she'll be on the cover of magazines talking about how she had postpartum depression! Anything to be seen on tv or on a magazine!

I f you don't like Giuliana,why not just skip the article instead of posting snipey(jealous?)comments ? Is it because you don't like happy stories ? She appears to have worked hard to get where she is,she is able to afford private health care and a nice lifestyle,good luck to her. Oh and,she's also had breast cancer and a double mastectomy in the last year. Leave her and her family alone.

Maybe cos it's a slap in the face to those who accept fate & also those who cannot have children but choose to adopt tragically orphaned ones or ones dumped upon the state by waste of space parents who shirk parental responsibilities, after the abuses exposed over here in some childrens "care homes" surrogacy should be banned altogether so they can speed up the adoption process & get them out of there faster + make bad parenting a crime. - Stuart , Edinburgh Scotland, United Kingdom, 20/11/2012 11:48 So it's ok to have a child naturally but if a couple can't they have to adopt? Why call the baby by his middle name? If you like the middle name more, then put it as the first name. Either way, congratulations to the new mum and dad. Many wonderful years ahead of you now, as well as the sleepless nights! :)

The surrogates are very professional. Most of them have already had children and are kind people who want to help other couples who are having problems to conceive. They are also rewarded financially.
