The terrifying scene inside a bar in Rome was described today by Spurs fans who told how they feared for their lives as they were ambushed by around 50 Lazio supporters, leaving one Londoner critically injured. The fans hid for cover as the Lazio thugs stormed the pub in the early hours, throwing in CS gas and attacking the small group of Spurs supporters with rocks, iron bars and clubs.

Referee Mark Clattenburg was today cleared of racially abusing Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel. The FA have decided there is "no case to answer" after Chelsea complained Clattenburg said "shut up you monkey" to Mikel.
