No longer a boy! Nicholas Hoult displays macho skills in new trailer for Jack The Giant Killer

We still know him best as the Hugh Grant's diminutive co-star in About a Boy and as Skins' teenager Tony Stonem but in Nicholas Hoult's new film... he's definitely a man.
The 22-year-old actor has completed filming big budget blockbuster Jack The Giant Killer which is an adaptation of the classic Jack And The Beanstalk.
The new film version of the story looks like it will be very different from the tale that we know, however, and there is no sign of a golden egg laying hen or a self playing harp.

Manly: Nicholas Hoult plays the titular hero in the film, and it casts him in a different light to the one we're used to
Instead we have sword play, love, action and stunts a plenty.
In this version, Jack, played by Hoult, battles against an army of giants, rather than just the one he steals items from in the classic story.
Jack is a quiet farm boy with a humble and good natured attitude.
All is well in his simple life until he gets hold of a handful of magical beans which once he gets wet, sprout into a huge beanstalk.
Action hero: The new trailer shows Jack helping Princess Isabelle down the beanstalk
Uprooting: The beanstalk carries away the princess of the kingdom and Jack's house
Baked Scot: Ewan McGregor also stars in the film and in the new trailer, we see him being prepared as a sausage roll by the giant
Terrifying: There appears to be an army of giants
Unfortunately for Jack the lad, the beanstalk not only takes his home away but it also uproots Princess Isabelle.
So with a slight hesitation, our hero climbs the overgrown weed an attempts to rescue the fair maiden who he inevitably falls in love with.
As if going climbing without proper safety equipment isn't hard enough, Jack also has a few giant problems to face too.
Epic: A soldier is seen falling from the labyrinthine beanstalk
Fee fi fo fum: Jack gets to grips with the beanstalk as he attempts to save the princess
Knight in shining armor: Ewan McGregor plays a soldier willing to defend Earth from the giants
His little beanstalk has opened a gateway between his world and the race of super scary giants.
Annoyed that the humans have arrived uninvited in their kingdom, the giants decide to attack Earth and take back the land they once ruled.
It is then up to Jack to become a giant killer and a local legend.
Giant fun: Be prepared to terrified next summer
Holding out for a hero: McGregor is one of the good guys
Fighting for the world: The king (played by Ian McShane) and his army try to help Jack stop the giants from taking over Earth
Breakthrough role: Nicholas charmed us (and Hugh Grant) in 2002's About A Boy
Growing pains: Nicholas shook off his awkward boy image in Skins but was far from a man
The Warner Brothers movie is directed by X Men's Bryan Singer and co-stars Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Warwick Davis, Ian McShane and Bill Nighy.
Although the film is partly based on the fairytale it is also a remake of a 1962 movie of the same name.
