 How to get started:

  • Select a diagnostic type. Click the “Run Diagnostics” button, read and agree to the Terms and Conditions and launch the application.
  • Dell PC Diagnostics will perform a quick check to see if the application is already installed. If it isn’t installed, you will be prompted to download (50MB) and install the program.
  • Once launched, the program will search for any hardware conflicts. A full diagnostic typically takes about 15-20 minutes, but may take longer depending upon your system configuration or tests selected.
  • After the analysis is complete, you will be shown the results for all tests. Dell PC Diagnostics will attempt to resolve many common issues automatically. If any of the issues can't be resolved automatically, suggestions will be provided to help you resolve them.
  • Your diagnostic results are available for 90 days on this site ("View your diagnostic history in the last 90 days above"). To review troubleshooting suggestions from your previous session, choose "Continue troubleshooting where you left off".

Important reminders:

Dell PC Diagnostics can only assess and troubleshoot your system’s hardware. If you are experiencing issues related to malicious software, you may want to consult with your virus protection provider.
