I'll be back... don't give me a ticket! Arnold Schwarzenegger lands his 14 tonne monster truck on the curb in parking fail

He blew a whopping $250k on a monster truck but perhaps it would have been better for Arnold Schwarzenegger to have made sure he could park the larger than life motor before splashing the cash.

Tough guy Arnie, known for his roles in Terminator as well as a troubled love life, seemed to be having difficultly backing his enormous truck into a parking space.

Despite a bit of shoving, stopping and walking around his intimidating truck, the 65-year-old was forced to park his car overhanging the lawn.

Arnie buying the Mercedes gas guzzler surprised voters as when he was 38th Governor of California he signed a bill which would make it impossible to license such a motor in the golden state.

According to Mercedes Benz, the Unimog range of cars is perfect for: ‘The most extreme, arduous tasks, including: fighting forest fires, performing rescue operations during catastrophes or maintaining power supply lines.’

Arnold bought the motor in August in the wake of fans being disappointed at the remake of his smash hit movie, Total Recall.

The remake, which stars Colin Farrell as Arnold’s original character Douglas Quaid, has not been met with the same critical acclaim as the original.

Arnie even finds it difficult to get into his new car, something which may have made him look a little silly had he not been a Hollywood superstar.

Actor Arnie, who has released his memoirs Total Recall, looked trim in a red jumper and grey shorts as he headed out into the sunshine.

How do even get in? Arnold's car is around 2.6m tall with 41in tyres

How do even get in? Arnold's car is around 9m tall with 41in tyres and probably costs a fortune in gas

Not such a smart car: Arnie's motor can weigh up to 14 tonnes but is also a weight on his mind

But he needn't have looked concerned that his motor may not be safe on the street as the monster trucks are thought to weigh up to 14 tonnes.

Also the thieves would not be able to hide the larger than life truck anywhere as it reaches up to 9 metres, even the superstar himself finds it tough getting in.

"The vehicle has no license plate and no car tax disc display on the windscreen. Not road worthy then and therefore it shouldn't be on America public road." USA is not Europe and cars can drive away from sales establishment with no licence plate... they still have to be insured in CA, though. The plates are picked up later. As mentioned, the truck does not weigh 14 tons nor do I believe it could carry a gross weight of 14 tons. Typical poor editing by DM who don't seem to bother to research facts before posting them.

The blind barber on third street should get more business once the world sees his work on top of Arnie's head...I'll be back!

The UNIMOG weighs about 3 ton, about the same as a HUMVEE. It is a go anywhere vehicle with diff - locks and many other features including a winch.
