They have endured months of scandal and speculation about their relationship following Kristen Stewart's fling with married director Rupert Sanders.

But it seems the 22-year-old actress has put the final seal on her reconciliation with Robert Pattinson.

According to reports, the couple spent Thanksgiving in London together with the British actor's family and the pair were spotted jetting into New York's JFK airport on Friday.

Stewart sported black rimmed glasses and wore her brown hair pulled into a high ponytail as she carried a shoulder bag through the terminal.

Like her boyfriend, she wore jeans and trainers and completed her casual look with a grey wool cardigan under a black blazer.

Perhaps wanting to stay incognito, Pattinson kept his sunglasses firmly on, even after the couple stepped out in the dark evening to their waiting vehicle.

The low-key couple had earlier been spotted checking in at Heathrow airport on Friday for a flight to New York where they happily queued up with other passengers before taking their seats in first class.

One excited fan tweeted: 'Look who’s on my plane!!! Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart!! We just arrived at the same time they were behind me in the line!”

Another fan claimed her mother had been working as an air hostess, looking after the pair on the flight.

'She's just told me apparently R Patz so lovely chatted whole flight. Kristen slept most of it,' the fan tweeted.

The trip to London came after it was revealed 26-year-old Robert’s older sisters Lizzy and Victoria have finally forgiven Kristen for cheating on their brother with Sanders, who directed the actress in the film Snow White & The Huntsman, which was released back in May this year.

A source said: 'It was really important for Kristen to win back the love and trust of Rob's family, and she has done just that.

'They are all back on really good terms - even better than before. Kristen reached out to Rob's sisters and expressed how sorry she was.

'They are proud of how far she has come and they know she has been treating their brother like gold.'

The pair have been busy promoting the last Twilight film Breaking Dawn Part 2, and were pictured enjoying a trip ten pin bowling together after attending the Berlin premiere of the film last week.

The Twilight trio kicked off a week-long of premieres last Monday, starting off in Los Angeles.

Stewart, Pattinson and co-star Taylor Lautner then headed across the Atlantic for Wednesday's London opening, before taking to the red carpet in Madrid on Thursday.

It has been an exhausting schedule, punctuated by TV appearances, and more public scrutiny on the couple's relationship status following her cheating scandal.

Why does Pattinson always get snapped making horrid faces? In some of them he looks like the Grinch, in others like he's sickly! Stewart outshines him every time!

So, considering that the family allows her to be back into their fold, I can now say I am pretty sure this whole 'cheating' scandal was nothing more than a PR stunt to get their new movie more hype. A family won't forgive someone so easily as an individual may... I think the whole scandal was fake, using their otherwise boring relationship as a launching pad for more newsworthy drama. Just saying...

once a cheater always a cheater.it takes a certain kind or person to decieve and destroy another person like that especially someone you claim to love.if this whole thing wasnt a publicity stunt which i highly doubt since the film has a huge following and that would have been unecessary then they deserve one another.but if she really did cheat on him then he should seriously move on.he will never be at peace and will always wonder what if shes doing it again even if she isnt.and that is no way to live.be single rob.enjoy your own company and find someone who wont desrespect you like that.then again if the rumours are true that she cheated on her ex with him then karma is paying him and its only a matter of time before she gets hers and they truly deserve one another

They have come a long way. This whole ordeal has probably brought them closer together and I wish them well. She nearly lost everything so there is no way in hell that she would ever risk it again!!! I think her lesson has been learned, the hard way!

They have been through a terrible time and endued a lot of hatred and scrutiny from people who have no idea about what actually happened and they have come out the other side of it more together than ever! If they can get through the last couple of months together I think they can get through anything!! Good for them! They look great!

KStew looks adorable in those glasses. What a natural beauty. And not too shabby looking there RPattz. Glad they are giving it another try. People make mistakes all the time. I actually think this will make them even stronger than before.
