Rejuvenated Torres raring to go after putting Chelsea troubles behind him

Fernando Torres believes his experiences with club and country last season helped him become a more complete player.

The Chelsea striker struggled to live up to his whopping 50million price tag as he fluffed his lines in front of goal.

But Torres helped his club win the Champions League before landing the golden boot as Spain won Euro 2012.

'I learned so much about myself last season and feel better for that experience now,” he said. 'I’m playing much more for my club and you can see that I’m starting to score more goals and play better.

'I am a different type of striker than in the past. I created a lot of chances for my team-mates last season and it means my game is more complete at this point in my career. To play in a new Chelsea team and still have something to aim for with Spain is exciting for me.

'The night of my 100th game for my country is something I will always remember. Many Spain players have reached 100 appearances and this says so much about the consistency of the team in the last few years. More will follow to get to 100 - Sergio Ramos and Cesc Fabregas for sure - but it was a special moment for me.

'Even after so many years, it is still a privilege to play in this great Spain team.'

Stop talking Torres! You lost your pace and confidence and that's never gonna come back...I'm sorry but the greatest striker of the world has turned into the worst striker of the world!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not a Chelski supporter but, having watched this guy since he left Liverpool I believe he is the worst buy the team ever made. 50 million pounds was ridiculous given the amount of goals he hasn't scored. If Hazard doesn't step up to the plate Chelsea are toast for this season.

He gives the ball away too often under weak challenges and is not as clinical as most center fwds. I do hope he improves drastically otherwise Falcao will take over from him come January. Bluez still rulez! - BenCFC, Garden of EDEN, 10/09/2012 13:25 Ben are you an actual fan? Have you watched Chelsea since January, as Torres has a number of assists and works his socks off & is now scoring again. Chelsea fans never boo their strikers off even Robert Flack & Paul Furlong were supported by the Chelsea fans! You are the support of fan who gets called plastic!

I wonder if all these down -red - arrows are from blind torres lovers. I agree, Torres needs to speak with his foot now. He has done enough talking to Media and has been pampered a lot.

Ben CFC, Love the way you show loyalty to Torres and are already thinking about Falcao... Chelsea could do with more "fans" like you!

''He talks too much ''- BenCFC , Garden of EDEN, 10/9/2012 14:25 He doesn't talk too much. He says one thing and we see it everywhere over and over and over again. Not his fault the media are obsessed with him.

I still dont click with this guy. He talks too much but delivers little on the pitch. He gives the ball away too often under weak challenges and is not as clinical as most center fwds. I do hope he improves drastically otherwise Falcao will take over from him come January. Bluez still rulez!

Is this guy still talking? Perhaps he should talk with his feet and show us what he can do. Putting all the trash talk to 1 side, he has scored what 9 goals 20 months. 5,000,000 per goal. OUCH!
