Teen's prank call 'led to her rape' after she randomly dialed number of her 'attacker'

By Daily Mail Reporter

A teenage girl may have accidentally invited a rapist into her life when she made a prank call to a stranger.

The Houston girl, 14, unnamed by police, met her alleged attacker Josha Alexis Gomez when she randomly dialed him in January 2011.

But after the first call, what was supposed to be a joke became regular, weekly conversations.

Scene: Authorities say Gomez brought the unnamed girl to this Jenkins Elementary school parking lot where he raped her

According to police, she eventually became so comfortable with him on the phone that she snuck out of her house in late February to meet him in person.

Gomez picked her up in his vehicle then drove her to the parking lot of Jenkins Elementary.

That was where he allegedly raped her.

The arrest warrant reports that she went along with his demands because she was scared of him.

After sexually assaulting her, he drove them to Jack in the Box and then back to her house.

Tested: A medical exam at Memorial Hermann Hospital confirmed the girl had been sexually assualted

Later that morning she told a family friend what had happened.

Investigators called Gomez at the cell number she used to contact him, but he denied meeting her or having any sexual contact with her.

But a medical exam at Memorial Hermann Hospital confirmed she had been sexually assaulted.

Gomez, 25, who remains at large has been hit with a felony charge of sexual assault of a child.

His bail has been set at $30,000.

He's back in Central America. so don't even bother looking for him. Typical illegal abusing our children. But we will never secure the borders.

Well at least he drove her back to her house. I hope she will recover from this.

YepYep, USA, 14/11/2012 0:49 You have to bear your burden and learn your lesson? What are you saying - that he deserves to get away with attacking other people just because they fail to engage common sense?

@ lulu . Toby said the act was the disgusting, not the prank calling. He called that immature and unfunny.

No common sense! There are predators out there! She's lucky to still be alive. And I hope the man who did this will rot.

Have we managed to breed out all common sense in our youngsters? If you could not, even in your little 14 yr old mind, fathom that this could be a likely result of meeting this guy, this strange man from the phone, then you will have to bear your burden and learn your lesson. Please teach anyone and everyone you come in contact with to not be as gullible as you, in case someone around you is also oblivious to the well-known fact that people can be bad. Especially older guys who start phone relationships with 14 yr olds. Jeez kid, DUH!

He is at large but his bail is already set? That makes no sense. @Toby, the girl is 14...kids make prank calls. It's not disgusting behavior, it's childish and she is a child. Get real.

This is disgusting, but why the heck was she prank calling anyone? It is such an unfunny, immature, stupid thing to do.
