Blonde bombshell! Emily Blunt debuts new lighter hair colour as she graces the red carpet
|
We all came to know and love her as the nervous redhead in the Devil Wears Prada, and since Emily Blunt has sported a range of red and dark hairdos.
Now she's ready to embrace her lighter side as she debuted a new blonde hairstyle on the red carpet on Monday night.
Attending the Gotham Awards in New York with her husband John Krasinski, the actress looked angelic as she matched her new hair colour with a white Calvin Klein frock.

From brunette to blonde: Emily shows she looks great no matter what hair colour she has
Her new honey coloured locks were pinned back in a sophisticated up do as she linked arms with her husband.
After
sporting a dark brown bob for the past few months, the star showed some
signs of wanted to change a few weeks ago when she stepped sporting the
popular two-toned hair trend.
And having donned a range of hair colours over the years, the actress has proved she has the versatile look many actresses dream of.

her character chop down a tree.
Speaking
of the training, the newly blonde star said: 'I had logs delivered to
my backyard in Los Angeles, and just learned how to chop wood.
'I chopped wood most days until I looked like I could chop wood convincingly, seeing as this something the character probably does every day. I didn’t want to chop wood like a sissy, you know?'

Emily famously turned down lead roles in Captain America and Iron Man 2 because she didn't want to play weak female parts, and said she enjoyed creating a strong character for recent film The Five Year Engagement.
'I went in with a list of notes and I don't think I'd quite been heard in that way before,' she said about her experience in the writing room.
'It was a room full of guys and they were like: "Tell me what you want! Tell me what you need!" And I was like: "Just please don't write us from a perceived feminine point of view. Write us like a dude. We think and talk like you."'
