Remind you of someone? Demure Courtney Love attends screening of movie about hell-raising drummer and heroin addict Ginger Baker

If anyone knows about heroin addiction, a bad reputation and prodigious snarling talent it's Courtney Love, so it's unsurprising she is fascinated by legendary drummer, Ginger Brown.
Stunning in a fitted white dress with a black lace band across the waist, Courtney looked demure, sober and in generally good form at the Crosby Street Hotel screening of Rolling Stone reporter Jay Bulger's film about the mad man with the sticks.
Credited with the birth of rock (an honour he declines), the 73-year-old former Cream rocker put Rolling Stone Keith Richards to shame with his high living and is described in new film Beware of Mr Baker as a 'genius,' 'mad' and 'pretty consistently horrible.'
Ringo Starr, he ain't.

Demure: Former hell-raiser Courtney Love arrived at the Crosby Street Hotel tonight to attend a movie screening about former hell-raiser Ginger Baker's life
But all those descriptions could've applied to Love, 48, over the years but when you consider that Ginger has four marriages to his name, not to mention over half a dozen bands, god knows how many cigarettes and burned bridges on almost every continent... he makes Courtney look like a novice in bad behaviour.
In fact the London born jazz drummer opens the film by addressing the camera thusly: 'If you've got a problem with Ginger Baker, go ahead and hit him in the nose. He'd welcome it. I ain't gonna sue you. I'm gonna hit you back.'
Former collaborators Eric Clapton, Johnny Rotten, Carlos Santana and Charlie Watts all vouch for the Blind Faith alum in the movie.
Back on form: It's been a tumultuous couple of decades for Love, here with film-maker Jay Bulger, but the talented singer songwriter seems to have got herself together
Star power: Thespian couple Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber also attended the screening
Courtney, of course, just has one rather famous marriage to him name.
The Hole singer married poster boy for a generation, Kurt Cobain, but his tragic death in 1994 seems to have led to a tumultuous two decades.
Kurt and Cobain were both heroin users and although gentle Kurt was never known for rock 'n' roll excess, Courtney's behaviour became increasingly outspoken after his death.
Frosty night: Matt Dillon and Watts wrapped up well against the winter night
Friends in high places: The film stars game to support Bulger
One trait she shares with Ginger - as well as the fondness for high living - is the ability to have rucks with those she's worked with, or simply known as friends.
Thankfully, those days seem behind her and it's been some time since she's appeared in public looking dishevelled and despite the fact that she's still estranged from daughter Frances Bean, 20, Courtney seems to be putting her life back together at long last.
But it's hard to imagine she didn't see some parallels with Baker, who pushed everything in his life to the limit to achieve great art... here's hoping for a new Hole album.
