Who needs Santa? Melanie Griffith treats herself to some goodies as she shops with daughter Stella in Aspen
|
There's only one guaranteed way to get what you want for Christmas - buy it yourself.
And actress Melanie Griffith needs no encouragement, hitting the shops as she vacations in Aspen with her 15-year-old daughter Stella.
The 55-year-old wrapped herself in layers as the pair hit the stores along the snow-lined streets in the famous ski town with some friends, showing off a shopping bag on her arm.

The mother-of-three wore a brown turtle-neck and brown leggings matched with a light brown shearling coat and knee-high brown leather boots.
She finished off her look with a pair of vintage cat-eye style sunglasses and a long white scarf with her trademark blonde hair tossed up in a bun.
Melanie's Spanish-born husband Antonio Banderas didn't join the pair on their wintry outing.

The Viva Laughlin actress has been on somewhat of a shopping bender over the past week.
On Monday, Melanie slipped in a spending spree with her 27-year-old son Alexander Bauer at the Grove in Los Angeles on Monday and another excursion by herself last week in Beverly Hills.
Melanie, who has been married to the Spanish hunk for 16 years, recently revealed she has become the victim of online abuse regarding her appearance.

Griffith, daughter of 1960s star Tippi Hedren, has never admitted to any cosmetic surgery.
She told US Weekly: 'Most people are telling me I look horrible. The tweets I get are really nasty.'
But she said she takes the criticism in her stride, adding: 'I don’t know if I look that great. I work out a lot. I have a trainer that I [work with] four times a week, and I do hot yoga.'
She also admitted to long running battles with drink and drug addiction as well as several spells in rehab clinics.

With the glasses on she looks more like her old self. I feel sorry for her, if she had aged more gracefully she might have looked more like her mum who was a stunning woman. - Paula , Stockport, United Kingdom, 21/12/2012 08:09-------That is simply not true. Her mother Tippi Hedren is a real beauty, even to this day. Melanie was cute in her youth but she was never a big time beauty like her mom. When Melanie started dabbling in plastic surgery in her early 30's, she looked better because of it. Her 30s were undeniably the years she looked best. But even with the surgeries, she aged poorly because she has continued to smoke, drink excessively and abuse drugs (remember she's been in rehab twice since 2000). Plastic surgery is not the reason Melanie looks horrible, it's the party animal lifestyle that she has continued long past the appropriate age. Without the surgery she'd just look worse.
